Born in the very same year as the inception of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II has reigned over the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth for longer than any other monarch. From Australia to Kenya, India to Cyprus, her reign has touched countless lives around the world.
Now, as we celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne, Danbury Mint has brought together a stunning, limited-edition collection of three silver proof coins issued by some of the Commonwealth’s most renowned mints. Presenting… The Commonwealth Platinum Jubilee Collection.
This collection includes:
- A 50 cent Silver Proof Coin from The Royal Australian Mint - Designed by Jody Clark, the obverse features an effigy of the Queen which first appeared on Australian coins in 2019.
- A Platinum Jubilee $1 Silver Proof Coin from the Royal Canadian Mint - Her Majesty’s historic long reign is beautifully represented by the double portrait reverse of this coin, which juxtaposes a modern-day portrait of the Queen with one of her younger self, reflected in a mirror.
- A 1oz Silver Proof Coin from The Perth Mint - The special obverse of this coin features a fan of wattle – Australia’s national floral emblem – overlaid with Her Majesty’s first and current coin effigies. Mary Gillick's likeness of the young Queen was introduced on Australian coins in 1953.
To proudly display your silver proof coins, a luxurious wooden Display Chest is included with this collection, at no additional charge. Gleaming silver-toned accents, a lock and key, and glass lid create the perfect presentation.
