Prince Philip Memorial Bear by Steiff
A Steiff original teddy bear specially created to celebrate the life of the Duke of Edinburgh.The Prince Philip Memorial Bear is made from the finest mohair in a beautiful chestnut brown colour with black felt paw pads. He wears a 22ct gold-plated medallion – engraved with an image of Prince Philip in naval uniform. On his arm he wears a traditional sign of mourning – a black armband simply embroidered with the Duke's cipher.

Respectfully, they have created a bear to honour and celebrate the life of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip dedicated his life to service. He was loved for his sense of humour, his philanthropy and his unwavering support of the Queen. He continued his Royal duties well into his 90s and he will be mourned by millions across the nation.
Steiff – the inventors of the teddy still hand-craft their bears in time-honoured traditions that stretch back over a century. Renowned for their utmost quality, it takes many skilled craftspeople to create a single Steiff masterpiece.
This will be issued as a strict limited edition solely by Danbury Mint. Production will end one year after the Prince’s passing – ensuring the permanent rarity of this collector’s edition.
