This beautiful relic from the American Revolutionary War era is a genuine and unique bond dating back to the early 1780’s that was issued to an actual soldier fighting on the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army.

Such bonds were a legitimate means by which the state paid their soldiers. Each bond was individually signed by the Treasurer of Connecticut upon issuance. Since these bonds were also cut and cancelled by hand, designated with a circular hole, no two are exactly alike!

Presented in gently circulated condition, your War Bond will arrive in a luxurious, bonded-leather Collector’s Folio, protectively mounted on a specially prepared panel so you can fully examine both front and back. A second panel provides intriguing background information about the bond, along with historic art depicting a scene from the American Revolution.
