The Queen Elizabeth II Crown features the official coinage portrait of His Majesty The King, which received the monarch’s personal approval. The reverse features two new portraits of the Queen by artist John Bergdahl.
- The Prince Philip Crown features a portrait of The Duke of Edinburgh designed by Ian Rank-Broadley The design of the coin was personally approved by the Prince in 2008.
- Proof coins struck by the Royal Mint – the ultimate grade of coin, struck at least twice on highly polished 92.5% silver blanks resulting in crisply detailed high relief images.

HM Queen Elizabeth II was our longest reigning monarch, and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was our longest serving consort. Together they were part of our national life for over 70 years. To honour their devotion to our country and the Commonwealth, and their tireless commitment to duty The Royal Mint has struck two silver Crowns.
The new Queen Memorial crown portrays a younger and older Queen Elizabeth and the dates 1926 – 2022. It is also significant as it bears the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty The King. In keeping with tradition, The King’s portrait faces to the left, the opposite direction to Queen Elizabeth II.
The Prince Philip Crown was released in 2021 and is now sold out at the Royal Mint. It was designed by Ian Rank-Broadly, who also created the fourth definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty The Queen.
Both coins are minted in 92.5% silver, in stunning proof condition.
To ensure these remarkable coins will be treasured for years to come, we have sonically sealed them in crystal clear casing for easy and safe viewing. With your collection you will receive – at no extra charge – a deluxe wooden display chest, custom-crafted to display your set. It features a lock and key for added security.
