Jemima Puddle-Duck was inspired by a real Aylesbury duck who lived with Beatrix Potter at Hill Top Farm in the Lake District. We think she would have loved Steiff’s latest re-creation of her hapless heroine.
Jemima is handcrafted from the finest winter-white mohair and because she has no ears, you’ll find Steiff’s famous button attached to her wing. Her head can be turned so that her wool-felt beak can be moved from side-to-side in a suitably haughty manner and her webbed, suedette feet have been wired so that she can stand without support.
Jemima takes great pride in her appearance and her charming accessories have been crafted with the same care and attention as Jemima herself. Her pretty blue bonnet is trimmed with a silky ribbon and her fabulous paisley-print shawl is edged with delicate coral-pink fringing and secured with a golden button.
Jemima Puddle-Duck is being made in a strict limited edition, exclusively for Danbury Mint. Only 5,000 pieces can ever be made for worldwide demand.
Actual size is 10" (25cm) standing.
