On 9th September 2022, in his first speech to the nation, our new king Charles III announced that Catherine and William would become Prince and Princess of Wales. Catherine is now become the 11th member of the British royal family to hold this title, following in the footsteps of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
To mark such a significant event in royal history, Steiff – the inventors of the teddy bear – have crafted a beautiful new collector bear. She’s hand-made from luxuriously soft caramel-coloured mohair with sparkling, black boot-button eyes and delicate hand-stitched features. Embroidered proudly on her right paw is the Red Dragon of Wales, “Y Ddraig Goch”, while the left bears her name – Catherine.
A pretty double ribbon of sumptuous red satin and delicate white lace is tied in a bow around her neck. Suspended from it is a specially designed pendant edged in red enamel and embellished with a sparkling diamond-white crystal. It features a beautiful portrait of our new Princess of Wales smiling radiantly.

Only, 2,022 of these very special bears can ever be produced – in honour of the year Catherine became Princess of Wales.
