The collector bear created to celebrate Team GB’s Olympic heroes had to be extra special. The honour was given to Merrythought – Britain’s oldest surviving teddy bear manufacturer. And they have truly surpassed themselves with this limited-edition treasure.
He’s hand-made from the finest soft golden-brown mohair with a charming hand-stitched nose, sparkling boot button eyes and a cheerful, friendly expression. His footpads are made from beige felt. His left is delicately embroidered with the Team GB logo in blue thread. His right bears the prestigious Merrythought wishbone label with its proud boast – “Hand-made in England!” Like all high-quality collector bears, he’s fully jointed so you can easily change his pose and he’s been designed with flat feet so he can stand easily – to claim his place on the winner’s podium!
This beautiful Merrythought collector bear proudly wears his Team GB branded tracksuit featuring their iconic lion’s head logo on the front and the words “Team GB” emblazoned in gold on the reverse. The collar and cuffs are decorated with Team GB’s vibrant, bold patterns that represent the eight core Olympic disciplines. The perfect finishing touch is the specially designed gold-plated medal around his neck. Suspended from a striking patterned ribbon patriotically enamelled in red and blue with the words “Team GB”.
