Asinus by Steiff

This faithful donkey was the unsung hero of the nativity and an integral part in the story of the birth of Jesus, conveying Mary and Joseph on their long and tiring journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem.

Now, Steiff have paid homage to this proud, steadfast companion. Asinus - Latin for Donkey - is hand-made from luxurious Schulte mohair in beautiful tones of grey and beige with an adorable dark mane and tail. His elaborately detailed red saddle and matching harness has been made with the same loving care and attention as Asinus himself. He stands supremely tall at just over one foot, so he’s sure to be a real centrepiece in any serious Steiff collection.
