On the 30th July 1966 he was proved right as his team won the famous Jules Rimet trophy in front of 96,924 fans at Wembley, and another 400 million people around the world! Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, and more… the names of all the players who beat West Germany that day have since become immortalised in the annals of the English game.Now, to honour England’s incredible World Cup victory, Danbury Mint is proud to offer a unique collectable – The Deluxe 1966 England Winners Commemorative Set, a sterling silver proof coin and the four commemorative stamps displayed in a handsome wooden display that’s available exclusively from Danbury Mint.   • The official £5 coin struck by the Royal Mint for the 50th anniversary of this landmark moment in sporting history.
  • The coin has been struck to a dazzling proof standard in 92.5% pure silver for superior detailing and a mirror-like brilliance.
  • A set of three mint condition Post Office stamps issued on 1st June 1966 to celebrate England hosting the tournament.
  • The 4d stamp which was re-issued to celebrate England’s victory, which added ‘England Winners’ at the top of the stamp. This created a collecting frenzy as collectors scrambled to find a coveted re-issued stamp.
