Product Description

On 1 July 1847, the United States issued its first adhesive postage stamp, the five-cent Benjamin Franklin. This historic stamp not only is America’s first official stamp, but also pays tribute to Benjamin Franklin – one of America’s most important Founding Fathers and their first Postmaster General. Now, through our extensive philatelic resources, we are able to make a small number of these treasured U.S. stamps available. Each genuine stamp is more than 170 years old, and is presented on a custom bonded-leather Presentation Folio that can be displayed on a desk, table or shelf, yet fits into a safe deposit box for safekeeping.

As we have only a very small number of these historic stamps available, requests will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis.

Folio is 5¾” x 3 ⅞”.
