It’s hard to imagine how shocking the loss of the Titanic was in 1912. Her sinking gripped the imagination then, and has ever since. Now, over a century after it sank, we have created a unique, new way of remembering the Titanic.
The Titanic Coin Clock features:
- A detailed replica of the ship, including the limited number of lifeboats on the Boat Deck, the bridge and even the compass platform
- Two genuine 1912 coins! The US dime is 90% real silver, and features Charles Barber’s iconic Liberty Head design. The British threepence was minted in 5% silver. It shows the head of George V on the obverse, whilst the reverse shows the British lion and crown. Both are of the type that would have been carried by the unfortunate passengers aboard the Titanic, and they are now pieces of history which have survived for over a century!
- A clock with the famed logo of the White Star Line, which operated the Titanic
All of these elements combine to create a unique commemorative of the disaster that shocked the world.
Clock is 9” (23cm) wide by 4 ½” (12cm) tall
