On 20th November 2017, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip celebrate 70 years of marriage – an achievement never matched throughout our royal history. Since 1947, their marriage has been an inspiration to Britain and the world.
These impressive, uncirculated medallions have been expertly minted, then hand-polished by skilled master craftsmen. One shows the Queen and Prince Philip on the day of their wedding, the other presents the royal couple in their 70th year of marriage. The reverses display Westminster Abbey, where the royal couple were married, and Buckingham Palace, their London residence.
Each flawless medallion is lavishly plated with genuine platinum – a luxurious finish befitting this milestone. Each medallion will arrive housed in a protective clear capsule that allows easy viewing of both sides.
For perfect display and safe storage, you’ll receive – at no extra charge – a custom-crafted wooden chest. With gleaming hardware and a lock and key for additional security, it’s the ideal way to safely display your beautiful medallions. The inner wooden panel can lie flat or be set at an angle – it’s your choice!
Production is limited to commemorate the year of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s marriage. Only 1,947 medallion sets can ever be crafted to cover worldwide demand, and each will be issued with a serially numbered certificate of authenticity – thereby ensuring the permanent rarity of this landmark edition.
Each medallion is 1¾” (4.7cm) in diameter. Actual size of display case is 7¾” (19.5cm) x 5½” (13.5cm) x 1¾” (4.5cm).
