Who would have thought back in 1958, when Michael Bond first introduced the world to Paddington Bear that he would end up being a star of the big screen! Well that’s exactly what has happened. To date, Paddington has appeared in two of his very own feature films.
Now, Danbury Mint have brought to life one of the most iconic scenes from the first Paddington film as a superb hand-painted figurine.
Beautifully crafted and perfectly painted by hand, Paddington is sitting on his trusty suitcase outside the Left Luggage Office at Paddington Station, where he meets the Browns for the very first time. He’s wearing his trademark old red bush hat – a treasured gift from his Uncle Pastuzo – and a luggage label around his neck written by his beloved Aunt Lucy asking you to “Please look after this bear. Thank you”.
Actual size is 6” (16cm) tall
