More than fifty years ago, a nation in mourning rose to its feet to celebrate the life of a lost President and stride boldly forward in his memory. No symbol better epitomised America’s healing than the Kennedy half-dollar. Now, over half a century since that golden Presidency, you are invited to acquire the most beautiful and most sought-after Kennedy half-dollars issued by the U.S. Mint. Presenting...The John F. Kennedy Proof Half-Dollar Collection, featuring one of these heartfelt tributes from every year of issue through to the 2023 issue. This historic collection includes:

  • The first Kennedy half-dollar. Minted in 1964, in the aftermath of the assassination, it is the first Kennedy coin minted in 90% silver, and one of the few proof coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint
  • The 1968-1970 40% silver issues, from the San Francisco Mint. The U.S. Mint removed all silver from dimes and quarters in 1965, but delayed action on the half-dollar until 1971.
  • The 1976 Bicentennial Kennedy coin, featuring the unique dual date of “1776-1976” and a one-time-only back design depicting Independence Hall.
  • The 2013 50th anniversary coin that commemorates the day – November 22, 1963 – America lost its 35th President to an assassin’s bullet.

For an impressive presentation, a luxurious wooden Display Chest is offered with gleaming silver-toned hardware, lock and tasselled key for additional security, and a glass top enhanced with a special design. Included with the Display Chest are two bonus mint-condition stamps. Both issued more than 50 years ago, these stamps are protectively encapsulated in crystal-clear capsules and included FREE with this collection. Each shipment will be accompanied by a Collector Card that includes an inspiring Kennedy quote, plus interesting facts about Kennedy.
